It’s good to begin the day with the following question: “Where am I starting from?” Is your mind calm or something you are grateful for every day? The world is beautiful and wonderful; appreciating it is good for our emotional health.

right and improve your health. Connect remotely with your support network.

PLAN YOUR DAYS AND FIGURE

3 OUT YOUR MENUS IN ADVANCE

Make sure your home is a “safe zone.” Keep unhealthy foods out so that you are not tempted to indulge. Create a separate cabinet / refrigerator space just for you.

Realize that you are not alone in this, it’s not something to be ashamed of, and that emotional struggles are a part of the human condition. Science is now showing that self-compassion, in conjunction with compassion for

others, is a key transformative and protective mindset for decreasing anxiety and depression. Food and other addictive self-sabotaging behaviors are never helpful to your problems and makes things worse, not better.

4. CONTROL YOUR FOOD ENVIRONMENT

Think of it as a restaurant that is used to prep and serve meals and then is closed until the next day.

So often, a one-time slip turns into a year of regret. Don’t let that happen. Try to understand that you can unlearn helplessness; realize you are learning and get back into the routine you’ve set up. Repetition of correct behavior is the key to success, and you can do it.
