Persephone is a Greek Goddess of innocence and receptivity the Spring and the queen of the Underworld. She is represented by the symbols associated with the coming of Spring. She is a youthful maiden innocent and joyous and the womanlier self her innocence lost and less attached to her parents. She is independent and about to make her own decisions.
