Yemaya

Yemaya is the goddess of the month we celebrate this summer. She is an African Goddess, a mother figure, patron of women especially pregnant women and a creator goddess.. She and revered as mother of the sea symbolizing motherhood and the ocean. She is considered a creator goddess giving birth to all waters and other Orishas. Orishas are divine entities with cultural significance in traditional Yoruba culture.
